Some offshore Asian female person called from that number supposedly “National Health Insurance,†regarding health insurance I had inquired about online. She then transferred me to another person, supposedly at “Platinum Health.†He wanted me to sign up right then for a policy before having an opportunity to read the tenets of the policy. He said that I would have to file an application accompanied by $396.85 to process the application and to determine if I was eligible for coverage. He said I had the right to cancel within 24 or 48 hours and receive a full refund. Another American-sounding man called. I guess he was the “closer,†because he got pushy and demanding and RUDE! He wouldn’t shut up, so I hung up. And have since blocked all numbers **sociated with this fiasco. The follow-up calls were from a phone number disguised as a local area code all those numbers began with 814-298-5xxx. I asked where they were calling from. One said south FL and another from California. Honest outfits don’t act like that. Steer clear!
