Someone call’s from this phone number and hangs up. I was out of the room and so I called back and the recording says that this phone number doesn’t exist. If the phone number did’nt exist then who or what called in the first place. Is there someone that can tell me the answer to my question?

Someone keeps calling from this phone number and when I try to call it back, the message says that the number doesn’t exist. Why are they calling me if the phone number doesn’t exit?? I am a single older person and I would like to know why this person call’s me and why?
