Long story short. A message showed up on my computer from supposedly Microsoft, who locked my computer because of scam activity and to call them so they can help me clear it up. They told me I could not use my phone because scammers would get my info. They would send an email to my Chase account if I would hold for 20 minutes. I did not want to be put on hold, so she said she could secure my phone call on through to Chase. At first I hesitated , but then agreed. She put the call through to 9366810943 and Lisa Brown answered. She told me I was a victim of iden**ty thief and in order for me to stop it, I would need to go to my bank, withdraw all money, go to a Lowe’s and purchase a Revalidation card, put all the money into that card, and then she would open a new account and use the card to put the money back in. Oh, While all this was going on, she would remain on the phone. I was not doing that. I told her I did not have a car. She told me to grab a cab. I told her I was not holding on the line. She told me I had a 2 hour window to do this or I would not see my money again. Told me not to tell anyone because the hackers would see activity and get my info. I told her I needed 30 minutes and we hung up. I decided this was nuts and I would go to the bank. I was told the whole thing was a scam and not to worry, my account had not been compromised. They also told me that Microsoft would never lock up my computer. It’s a software to use and does not act like a virus protection. While at the bank, the fake Chase Lisa Brown tried to call me again, as well as the fake Microsoft person. I have blocked the call and reporting it so that no one else is a victim.
I cannot believe I fell into this web ... all the time I kept thinking none of it made sense.
So, 9366810943 is a fake Chase number.
