Scam, the caller is pretending to be an employee of Alliant Energy. They asked what kind of cable service we have to which I replied what does that have to do with an energy company and the guy began sputtering. He told me that I was about to have a problem with my tv service box and I told him that if that happens we’ll call the appropriate people to handle it and hung up on him. I knew it was a scam and the real Alliant even warns its customers about it on their website.
