Opened up my computer and said I had a spyware virus and to call the number provided (this number) I did cause it appeared to be **sociated with Microsoft. This dude answered and eventually I gave him access to see and control my laptop, he seemed to know what he was doing and how to help me so I was worried. He later said I should pay for a 5 year protection plan worth $349, thinking it would help me I said yes. As he gave me the users to log in with so I was able to give him my CREDIT CARD information he told me to make sure I remember the user, I didn’t have a pen on me so I opened my phone to take a picture and accidentally exited the call without giving him any of my credit card information, I then saw he exited out of everything and restarted my laptop. A few minutes later I opened my laptop back up and put it my p**sword but it said it was incorrect, I could no longer log into my own laptop. Just took it into a computer shop not even 5 minutes later, now I’m expecting to pay close to $200 just to get rid of whatever virus this man put on my laptop. Just very thankful my clumsiness resulted in me ending the call or else who knows what could’ve happened once he got ahold of my credit card information. Basic summary if you have something pop up saying to call this number for help, DONT and if your actually worried about your device take it into a actual professional!
