I received a voicemail message from an English-speaking white woman who said she was from one of the banks that I bank with. ( the exact name). The following is the exact word for voicemail :
“ “Hello, this message is for ( MY NAME) ,my name is Jennifer I'm calling on behalf of farmers and merchants Bank to do security check in reference to your MasterCard debit card case number 0 1 5 8 To ensure uninterrupted service on your account please contact us at 8 8 8- 9 1 8- 7 3 1 3 case number 0 1 5 8 and any representative can **sist you it is important to contact us as soon as possible at 8 8 8- 9 1 8 7 3 1 3 and reference case number 0 1 5 8. We look forward to speaking with you soon. Thank you”
Funny because I rarely use this bank or this account at all and I definitely don’t have a case number opened. Another tall telltale is the fact that they are trying to be urgent and they need to speak with me very quickly. That’s a red flag right there for sure and the fact that I have no case number never had a case number big red flag.. number called a different state that does not even have this bank in that state and I’ve never seen a number from another state. Strange all this bullshit Fraud it’s crazy.!
go to hell scammers and fraudsters,
Tired of these overseas broke third world country mother***kers taking Americans harder money because we are good people and were kind of naïve and trusting in general. Not me though
They called my parents house telling me (I don’t live there) to call about a security check on my account. I looked up the number and it is not a number from my credit union, I googled it and someone said it is an elaborate scam.
