I too have been having the same problem with so called student loan consolidation/forgiveness for the last 4 years. Their phone numbers constantly change and caller id’s are spoofed. I had one call from a so called student loan service department on the west coast. He left a voicemail claiming to be from the department of education concerning my school loans. I filed an FTC complaint the day after with the details.

Number is from Verizon on reverse look up. We just signed with them and getting spammers asking for money. Seems strange it just started after three days of service!!!!

Not my experience but my daughters. They identify as student loan people and try to pressure her into completing a loan forgiveness form. She has already done this with the legitimate organization. They call her nearly everyday- when she answers they hang up. She is a working Professional in her field.
