Received a fraudulent email yesterday from larhondaboatwright61310754@gmail.com. Text thanked me for my order of Defender Antivirus 1 costing $699.99. Said if I wanted “to return for this order, give us a call at (1888)-836-6836. Bogus order message.
This number was on an email with a receipt for something I supposedly purchased for $699.99! I never ordered anything for that amount, and the email doesn't even tell you what it is I supposedly purchased. All it gives is an Order No. and tells me it's charging my credit card, but no credit card info either, not even the last 4 digits like most receipts provide. Guessing it's a scam. Tried calling the number and it just goes directly to "music on hold" and no one answers.
Left message : “ and by ignoring this call taking the authorization of yours thank you if you wish to speak to our executive then press one now.†Making the receiver, me, believe that I’ve authorized something because I won’t respond. I did not call back, but I’m thinking this is a scam as I cannot identify the phone number. And they give no information.
