I just called the number and they answered, in a very deep Indian voice, “thank you for calling Windowsâ€. I said, “Windows whatâ€. He said, in the same shitty Indian voice, “Microsoft, sirâ€. I said, “Bullshit†and hung up.
I got an e-mail with this phone number on it appearing that I had been charged 399.00 and to call 888-772-3712 if I believe someone else was using my Microsoft account. Yes thanx to looking up the number and seeing someone else posting on here it's a scam and a phishing e-mail. I won't be calling.
This number was in an email stating that I had purchased and was being billed for Microsoft Windows Defender. After contacting Microsoft, I was informed that the email was a phishing email.
