This phone number has been calling me for well over a year. It's some sort of collections agency. I can't be bothered to tell them that the person they are trying to reach doesn't actually use my phone number anymore.

It is from Common Collection Agency. I received a message: "We're calling on behalf of ... Bank." (It's about a credit card debt.) Here's why I won't pay it: the bank gets paid in advance of our obtaining any loan, credit card, line of credit, etc. Our signature IS the value, as it is our authroization for them to debit the trust which holds OUR credit. Our note or application is deposited as a credit for them. The bank then either pays a vendor (house/car) or gives us a credit card. Their ledgers balance at the end of business that day. So, where's the debt? The only debt is what the Banks owe US, due to their taking millions more than we signed for or received. Then, they want our cash– to pay THEIR debt to the trust. That's double-dipping, aka FRAUD. Do not pay any collection agency; you couldn't possibly have a contract with it. Corporate legal fictions can neither lawfully contract with a man or woman, nor take the stand to claim a loss.
