Theys sent registration voucher to sign to receive $199. Don't do it! I called my mortgage co and they said they never sent anything and it's a scam and NOT legit.

Time sensitive home insurance letter. Final attempt, call immediately ,yada yada 1-888-404-4504 No company name or address listed.

I have received more than one letter, claiming that my home warranty plan provided by my mortgage company is about to expire. My mortgage company had no such plan and I had contacted them to confirm. There has been more than one company named used for the exact same letter, with the exact same claims. The most recent shows as 4Ever Home Warranty.

I read your comments. I received the same letter; same ph. #, same type of check. Thanks for posting the warning. It sure looks legit; glad I double checked. Great point on no return address. I should have known.

they called my husband and had the audacity to send me a letter. Wells Fargo Bank needs to investigate this!! they are trying to take advantage of their customers!!! you guys stink at caring for your customers!

I received a letter that had none of the company's information on it with a fake check with my name and address on it in the amount of $199.00 for Registration Fee. There is no return address, company name, email, or person's name on any of the letters.

I received a letter from this company I first noticed that they don't disclose the actual name of the company or address on the letter or envelope. This letter was predatory claiming that your Home Warranty needs to be updated and "you will be at risk of being financially liable" "you still may have time to activate a Warranty on your home before it's too late". They use the work "may" a lot in the letter thinking that covers their liability, but it is still predatory. I don't have a home warranty. I called the number 1-888-404-4504 and spoke with a nice lady who has no idea what the letters say (I believe this is true). The operator that I spoke with said she was located in Missouri, and they had offices in Texas and nationwide. I asked the name of the company, and she said Home Warranty Division, I asked her what they were a "Division" of, and she didn't know. I am a real estate agent and utilize home warranties for my clients and would never recommend this company due to their predatory methods.

This is a scam and has been reported to the BBB. I received a letter that had none of the company's information on it with a fake check with my name and address on it in the amount of $199.00 for Registration Fee. There is no return address, company name, email, or person's name on any of the letters.

If anyone gets the mailing address for this "Home Warrenty Division", please post it. I would recommend that everyone put this address (when provided) in the upper left hand corner of the envelope (do not open the envelope), cross out your name and mailing address and label it RETURN TO SENDER. I am told that there are some postal permits that allow billing ONLY if the return address is used. So it may be possible that this SCAM is getting free bulk mail postage (aside from the fee to apply)....and you and I have to pay the infalted postage fees on a day to day basis.

Like everyone else, I receive these letters on a regular basis. Most banks that have responded to their clients complaints say to just toss the letter in trash. I can't let this go! I have written the Postmaster General, my attorney general and the Federal Trade Commission. I would encourage everyone to do the same. The "postage paid permit" number is supposedly valid which means this company gets a break of bulk mail. And why, after 9/11 especially, is someone allowed to mail anything (especially discounted), without a return address is beyond me. Encourage you to contact your state attorney general as well...annoy them and maybe they will actually do something. BTW...addresses for you: Postmaster General, 475 L'Enfant Plaza, Wash., D.C. 20260. Federal Trade Commission, 600 Pennsylvania Ave., Wash., DC 20580.

I receive at least one letter per month in the mail from "HOME WARRANTY DIVISION". There is no return address, company name, email, or person's name on any of the letters. There is always either a letter or a fake check addressed to me by name and says that my "home warranty may be expiring or may have already expired." The number 1-888-404-4504 is always on the letter. Even the postmark doesn't have a return address or zip code. It just says that it is mailed from "St. Louis MO." I wish the authorities would find these people and stick them with a cl**s action lawsuit for har**sment. There is supposed to be some way to request being taken off of solicitation mailing lists.

I got a letter in the mail without any return address. It was addressed to me by name and said that my "home warranty may be expiring or may have already expired." The number 1-888-404-4504 was provided in the letter as contact information and that I should call this number. This is an obvious scam. The envelope's postal mark (which may have been faked) said that the letter had been "mailed from ZIP Code 63155" (St. Louis). I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night. To the shredder the letter goes. And with great zeal.

It was a neat way to try and make a consumer think this might be real. It was sent in this bifold windowed envelope, torn on two sides, coming from Charter One Bank that I didn't know wasn't in existence at the time I opened the envelope. I was curious and once I entered the phone number in a search engine, there were complaints from many different scams using this phone number.

Home warranty SCAM!
Reply | Reported by c17ad .
From a marketing perspective they did wonderful. They send this deceptive document that tears apart like a check. Anyone who doesn't believe it throws it away. All who do believe it run to their bank or call the phone number. Its a great filter for a cold-call sales pitch. The marketing company already gets their 3% response when consumers are already fooled expecting their $199.00. The 'check' is missing a routing and account number on the bottom but to anyone who doesn't know any better it seems real. All the needed disclaimers are there, in a tiny 8 point font, THIS IS NOT A CHECK. Someone who needs gl**ses or doesn't read it all the way will call back.

This is a scam and has been reported to the BBB. I received a letter that had none of the company's information on it with a bogus looking check of $199.00 for Registration Fee. The check is missing a lot of required information and isn't real. DON"T TRY TO CASH IT! I knew it was a scam because the lender was incorrect, and my name was shortened from Kimberly to Kim. I do all official business using my full name. Please continue to report this scam to the appropriate authorities so that they can be caught and stopped.

Bogus - "Immediate Respond to this Notice - Final Notice" for "Home Warranty Division". Such a crappy scam it does not even identify the shitty company that is purporting to offer some undoubtably useless home warranty contract product. If they are even too embarr**sed to even give out their name, it tells you all you need to know about the quality of the product they are offering. To ensure it is even less legit, there is what appears to be a check for $199.00 attached, however it is marked as "Registration Fee Voucher" and in small print, "This is NOT a check". Printed on the document is FL License #W887595, which comes back to 4EVERHOME LLC, 1708 SOUTH 5TH ST., SAINT CHARLES, MO 63303 and a contact of LAUREN@ELERASGROUP.COM.

Says it is a Home Warranty Division of Royal United Mortgage L . We had never received one from them because the sold our mortgage to another company 4 months after we signed paperwork for them. I believe this is a fraud and I will not be checking on this matter anymore.

The exact same thing as the people below. Final warning letter from Home Warranty Division with registration fee voucher of $199. but no return address or company. They want you to call this number which would link you into the scam.
Reply | Reported by 03a98 .
I continue to receive letters with envelope showing "Home Warranty Division". There is never a return address on envelope. Obviously they want a person to get upset enough to open the envelope and call the number. Opened letter once to see if there was an address on actual letter but there wasn't. Therefore, it became more than clear it was an obvious scam set up to get you to call and possible get your phone number, etc.. Best thing to do is to shred it and do the same for the rest that come. They will continue to send more until they 'think" they have the next sucker hooked.

DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!!! They use very deceptive advertising tactics to try to scare people into thinking something terrible will happen if they don't call. IF YOU CALL, YOU WILL GET MORE SPAM CALLS & MORE JUNK MAIL. Just toss or shred the "notice" and "voucher" and warn any possibly gullible people you know to do the same.

DO NOT CALL THEM!!! "Home Warranty Division". They want you to call them, so they can get your phone number & confirmation of address. You calling them gives them permission, to use your number & data for marketing & selling your information to others. Could result in terrible consequences in relation to your privacy and finances. This is just data solicitation for spam/fraud. https://www.bankmainstreet.com/news/home-warranty-scam-letters/

Keep getting "final notice" letters with a bogus $199 check and threatening words about home warranty expiration and we need their coverage. There is a phone #: 1-888-404-4504, but NO ADDRESS for us to send a letter back to them with our strong words.

Received a letter addressed to my wife and the $199 voucher payable to her. No business letterhead or address only the phone number. Causes for suspicion: No company name or address, no street address, letter and voucher addressed to my wife who died 6 years ago! Sure sounds like a scam to me! I'll feed the papers to the cross cut shredder!

they keep sending these letters also says this is not a check .it looks like a check for$199.00 i am going to throw it away

Letter in mail said: "Home Warranty" insurance plan. Attached to the letter was a: "Registration Fee Voucher" for $199.00 you had to sign to redeem. Your house insurance would cover what this Home Warranty plan is offering. Company name was missing from letter and had only a 1-888 phone number. This is a total scam in mym opinion.
