Received call from 888-381-9961. Gave civil case number in my county, case number not the correct format. Said I was being sued for $19,000 and would be receiving papers within 5 days to go to court. Being sued by Citibank from 2001. Attorney name was Brian Richardson with Southern Land & **sociates in San Diego, CA. Attorney and attorney group do not exist. SCAM!
They had a supposed case that they couldn't find our address. We've only lived at our address 20 plus years. Tried to get us to call Emma Smith from an Oregon number not related to the local county courthouse.
This is a Scam, saying it belongs to an attorney named Emma Smith, saying to contact this number because they are trying to serve papers and they don't have your correct address. Dont fall for this scam. Someone else calls and leaves the message.
