Claims I owe on payday loan I never took out.
Caller says they're calling about back taxes I owe, then they call back and say they're debt collectors.
Name for this number on caller ID is Billing **sist and it was an automated message to call this number back about money owed. Person named Tiffany answered when I called back, did not state we were on a recorded line or that the call was being recorded and it was an attempt to collect a debt or her name until she said I owed $3,000+ dollars on a personal loan and had hours to resolve this before it went to court and was reported to the credit agencies. She had my correct name and social security number, I never said those things were correct and she did not ask me to verify either. When I asked for more information telling her I needed to verify this was legitimately my debt, she would answer and immediately go back to telling me I would be going to court and this recording would be used, reiterating the amount and the date of March 15, 2022, and several other items and I had to keep interrupting to say I just needed the amount and date of this debt and the company I have the debt with. What I did get before she hung up on me in the middle of saying I don\'t agree with any of this is that I took out a personal loan of $1,012 and some change between 2019 - 2020 but she did not have the exact date. There was a settlement amount of $400-something, PCI was mentioned several times as maybe her company (?), and that I would get all the information when they sent the settlement forms to me.
