it was listed as the number to call about a bitcom purchase that i was supposedly being invoiced via PayPal. i did NOT purchase anything from this company and i did NOT authorize any PayPal charges.
Scam/Fraud Received an email from what appears to be a valid Paypal web address. It says I have an invoice for $500 for Bitcoin that I purchased. I did not purchase Bitcoin, and never have. I checked my Paypal account and can find no indication on an invoice needing paid. A link in the email seems to go to a good Paypal address and on that link it indicates a $500 invoice. I'm not yet sure if they is a scam email, or if someone was able to hack into my account to make a charge. But either way it's a scam. Trying to contact Paypal now to see what they can tell me. I'll also be keeping an eye on my bank account too.
