They informed me they were cancelling my Social Security number.
Received call from this number with recorded message by man with foreign accent claiming I'm a victim of iden**ty theft and my social security number is being cancelled. This is a new scam attempt for me. We need equipment available to general public that gives true iden**ty. It's ironic that I order to protect privacy rights we can't get this equipment yet a non profit agency seems to hand out my name, address and phone number to any other agency that wants it or pays for it. What's with this crap

You can also add your number to the National DO Not Call Registry by visiting their website or calling (888) 382-1222, but many people have complained about it not being effective. If there is something requiring an immediate attention, please contact your local law enforcement agency or call 911.
