The people using this number are claiming to be IRS agents office in Wash DC. This is a scam, IRS do not phone unless you request a call after firmly establishing an on going relationship. They used certified mail along with contact information that can be easily crossed reference. They will provide information that only you and them would know. If in doubt call a number off of their official gov't site first. Note: they do not accept money via phone, also they will not ask for you personal but will tell you, in short don't pay anyone over the phone calling you.
