Called me and identified themselves as Social Security and told me due to recent suspicious activity my Social Security number has been suspended and to press one to find out more. When I pressed one it disconnected me. The phone call was made around 4:20 PM June 3, 2019 I think the Social Security office was closed at that time. The next day June 4 I got another phone call from 866-253-5607 that said the same thing and when I pressed one on the dial pad I ended up speaking with a man ......sounded like there was a TV running in the background ...... and he said what can I help you with and I said “you called me†and then he said he asked me for my name my so he could look at my file. I told him you called me and he hung up the telephone
