Call to a number not even listed. Fraud call!
Called and said they were from Amazon regarding a large charge that had been made on my default card today on my Amazon account and that I needed to call Amazon's fraud department at 866-701-0185 immediately if I did not make those charges. I knew it was a scam because I do not have a default card on my Amazon Account.
Recorded message saying I've been charged an amount on my credit card on file with Amazon. Seems to be scam!
Says it is from Amazon, but it appears to be a scam.
Receiving unwanted or harrassing calls from (866) 701-0185? Report It! You can also add your number to the National DO Not Call Registry by visiting their website or calling (888) 382-1222, but many people have complained about it not being effective. If there is something requiring an immediate attention, please contact your local law enforcement agency or call 911.
