Scam alert! They say a non-existent bank account is frozen.
Text said my PNC account has been frozen until I call this number. ( I don’t have a PNC account)
Number is the scam
I got 2 messages from this number saying my account was frozen, did not specify what account. I viewed it as suspicious and see that others have had similar messages, so I blocked them from my phone. They give you this number to call with a certain ID number to use and I'm sure like the others its one big scam.
BEWARE - SCAM. I received a text message from this number claiming that my "Account was Frozen" - called the bank listed in the text message, they verified the message was false and there is NO such number in any of their resources. The text message has been forwarded to their Phishing Dept. I will not call this number 866-342-0009.

Received two texts stating my account has been frozen and to call this number. Presumably from Bank of America (BOA). Ummmm...I don't have a BOA credit card.

You can also add your number to the National DO Not Call Registry by visiting their website or calling (888) 382-1222, but many people have complained about it not being effective. If there is something requiring an immediate attention, please contact your local law enforcement agency or call 911.
