Scammer sends bulk email pretending to be from a legitimate business, and saying that the receiver\'s account will be charged. The email includes this phone number, though the digit \"0\" is changed to the letter \"O\" to prevent spam filters from seeing it.
When the victim calls that number to protest the charge, the scammer steals the victim\'s person information, such as credit card number, etc., and may also induce the victim to install malicious software. Here is a sample message received:
