I phoned this number last night as I was attempting to register a new LG refrigerator, and the number appeared on an LG site. The foreign voice on the other end had all of the information I had entered into LG’s registration site, before I was unable to locate my model on the site. After establishing that all of my information was in fact correct, the man told me that while we were waiting for his computer, he would take my credit card info. As I pushed to find out why he wanted my credit card, he told me it was for verification purposes. I offered him my driver’s license number, but he said he had to have one of my credit cards. When I finally yelled that he wasn’t getting one of my credit cards he asked me to write down a phone number, at which they would be able to help me. I called the number and found that it was for Information, or basically 411. When I tried to call the original phone number of (LG) back, a recording said that I had exceeded the max number of calls to that number. I was later able to get ahold of LG customer service at a different number.
