got a phone message this morning no actual phone ring, weird but the message was too fake, I always advise people to check the number first before responding it's way too easy to get a VOIP number and make calls. Do a quick search on any phone call. Legit business will leave a name and business for you to refer to don't fall for this.
Left a voicemail for my ex-husband stating that is a complaint attached to his social security number. The agent left a number to call along with a file number. She never left her name or who the company is. When they did call, they used a local number in my area.
These people keep trying. They'll call multiple times a day - for awhile. Then, it will stop. Now, they are trying again. I'm not scared or nervous because I have a brain that works, do research, and now that's not how collections work. It is actually illegal to use pressure for payment over the phone or via email. Please don't fall for this. They are annoying, but do NOT give them any information! I usually tell them, if I actually talk to them, to get a real job and to stop trying to steal from hardworking people. That's when they hang up or swear at me.
Fake as ***k. These are scammers fishing for your personal info. Don't tell them shit. And no, a warrant will not be sent out for your arrest, that's not how warrants work. They've called me numerous times over the years and I always tell them that I'll have milk and cookies for the sheriffs when they come to my home.
They leave a message, "This is your case #####, if you don't want this to escalate, call us back at 855.467.7364. They never say what business they are from. I called back at 8am. The first person to answer very sleepily said Hullo, then hung up. I called right back & they answered: "Department of Justice". I said they had the wrong phone # for this case. He rudely told me my phone # has already been removed and to quit wasting his time.
they said if I didn't pay $1,032 I would have a warrant out for my arrest. When I thought it was real and was ready to pay it, the amount had changed. the call came through as spam. They said they were one main collection agency.
