Tried to get me to access Zelle on my personal checking account. Said the were from Chase Bank, and transferred me to \"Zelle fraud department\".
Just received 2 separate calls in 3 days. Caller said they were with Chase and that there were two fraudulent Zelle transactions against my telephone number from the Bronx, NY. One transaction for $1200 and another for $800. They asked if I had an iPhone 13 Pro Max ( I don’t) and proceeded to give a case number and a confirmation number for each transaction. They then connected me to their fraud department. When I let them know that I did not have a Chase account they hung up.
Caller said they were with Chase and were checking on two Zelle transactions from my # to one of their Chase customers. Problem is, I don\'t have a Zelle account.
Caller showed as Chase and identified himself as Jonathon with Chase regarding two Zelle requests that were allegedly on hold, from recently opened account also allegedly tied to my identification. Was a very elaborative narrative including transfer to the fraud department where the person was not too bright.
