I called them back to find out that they were a scam. I put my name in the do not call list

I have received several messages from this number warning of possible ransom ware on my computer.

This lady (foreign accept) named Emily said she was from Microsoft Technical Services and they detected unusual activity on my computer, and people could get my personal information and photo off my computer. She wanted me to hit the Microsoft icon and R at the same time and she would help me check my computer. I did not. I believe this to be a huge scam. The North Clove, NY number she was calling from is land line number 845-478-9925. She said the Technical Services number was 1-800-439-4817.

“Root Technology” Claims to be from Microsoft. Says our computer has been “compromised”.

Message left in a "mechanical voice" 2/27 saying that your "Windows computer"...Someone is trying to hijack the computer and all the information"... PURE BS, imho...

Call from this number left machine-voice message, and was partially cut off but appeared to be making a threat that all my personal information: "May got compromised." Said to call back... This call appeared to be fraudulent.

Caller leaves message urging me to call or my computer will be useless.

CALLING TO CLAIM THAT THEY ARE MICROSOFT. TELLING YOU TO GO TO YOUR COMPUTER. THIS NUMBER IS LISTED AS ROOT TECHNOLOGY FROM A LANDLINE PHONE IN NORTH COVE, NY. HANG UP OR DON’T GO TO YOUR COMPUTER.
