Each year following my purchase of a computer running Windows software, I have received an email "regarding your purchase of Microsoft defender software," which I have never purchased. The message goes on to say, "If you didn't make this purchase or want to cancel you[sic] purchase you can contact our customer service executive he'll help you get a full refund of your amount." This is a typical ploy used by scamster/fraudsters to get you on the line as the first step in fleecing you. I never respond to such emails. I send them to my junk folder and empty the folder ASAP. Be careful out there, friends, the internet is crawling with racketeers trying to part you from your money!
