I received an email with this phone number in it telling me “Thank you for subscribing to Norton (anti-virus) Security. $175.00 will be automatically deducted from your bank account. Etc. , Etc. . . . .†I absolutely DID NOT sign up for or subscribe to “Norton Securityâ€. I have to **sume this is some type of scam. I called this number and demanded that if they had somehow signed me up and charged me $175.00, which I don’t know how they could because I never give out my credit card info over the internet, that they immediately cancel my “subscription†and refund the $175.00. The guy said they would, but sounded nervous perhaps because I had called their bluff and he knew that I had realized their scam. They may be trying to get people to give them credit card numbers and info so that they can “complete the cancellationâ€. I didn’t do so. Please DO NOT give them any credit card numbers or information. Scammers like this are worthless criminals and the scum of society.
