Reports for (844) 756-1401
It's a student loan forgiveness scam. This is the message:
"This is Mark Matthews from student loan support. We wanted to inform you that the temporary COVID forbearance ends on December 31st, 2022. Be aware your loans will resume automatically at the standard repayment rate. Our records indicate you may be eligible for student loan forgiveness programs, but never completed the required documents. If you want to proceed with the application, we need to speak with you TODAY at 844-756-1401."
Notice how this message does not state who the actual loan servicer is nor what documents they are referring to. In any case, any application process would have an online component, and you should have received some email or something from your legitimate loan servicer such as MOHELA or whoever.
Pretty sure it is a scam for loan forgiveness. Told me I have to call back TODAY to fill out the forms, but I'm pretty sure they aren't available until October anyways...
Claims to be a Mark Meadows. States I qualify for student loan forgiveness programs but haven’t finished filling out the required paperwork. Caller ID is different # & different state but always this call back number.
