i reported it scam i’m not calling because scammers want money

Spam or scam either way not answering it

They say it is a time sensitive manner but when they say the case number (or file number) the call disconnects. The number they say to call isn’t even the number from where the call originated.

I received a “call” that never rang my phone, but left a voicemail that said, ““Please call 844-731-0546 to speak with one of our specialists please note this is a very time sensitive matter and your cooperation is required your reference number is…” I called the 844 number and before it rang a lady from I believe she said Mexico answered and while the call was breaking up very bad she had my name and last 4 digits of my social security number. She said that I had taken out a loan from “cash net USA” in 2014. My response was, “I’ve never used that service and wouldn’t have needed to as I was making very good money during that time period.” After I said this she said, “okay I will note this on your account.”, and then hung up the phone. I feel like this was a scam to get me to pay over $1000 and this is not the first time they have called saying I owed them money, the last time it was a different amount they said I owed around $3000. I tried calling the 844 number back several times and only one time did it ring through once then music started playing every time until I hung up. I then tried calling the 317 number which is local to me as it is an Indianapolis area code, and I live in Fort Wayne. The 317 number rang once, then said this is not currently an active number. Which tells me they spoofed a random number, and are not legit.
