This was not an incoming call from 833-322-6760
This number appeared in my phones call log. I called it and it connects to Vanilla Visa (Gift) Card Customer Service automated menu (incoming calls only). It gives you three options to choose from the main menu.
I remembered we had a Vanilla Visa (Gift) Card, and my wife must have used my phone to call it to check the balance on the card.
So it is a good number, but NOT for incoming calls! I'll explain my theory.
On another site someone reported this number was used to scam him. The number has been searched 62 times on the other site.
My theory is I suspect scammers are "cloning" this number for outgoing scam calls. Doing it this way it shows up on your caller ID and call log but it cannot be traced back to them because it is an incoming line only. Using the number this way leaves you high and dry.
Being an automated incoming call system I can't see this number EVER calling you unless it has been "cloned" then I would suspect it as being a scam call, and don't answer it.
If you answered the call and gave out personal information or bought something during the call, more than likely your personal information, and your Credit / Debit Card information is now in the hands of a scammer and now your Personal information has been compromised. You WILL need to take immediate action to protect your iden**ty and Credit / Debit Card information.
To do this you need to contact your Credit / Debit Card ins**tution ASAP and put a stop or hold for all credit card transactions and or dispute any charges made to your card that you did not authorize. You will also have to request a new card with a new number for future use.
I run two small businesses out of my home and deal with scammers buying and sell products all day. Every day they seem to be stepping up their game, and I have almost fallen for a few myself. The best tool you have is don't not be in a hurry and do not to commit to anything until you do your research. Wa
