I received a text message from 626-830-0133. It read:Alert: $ddd.cc charged (Transaction ID: 16789012) to your Apple ID. If you didn't authorize this transaction, call Apple Support at (833-) 216-0797 right way

I called the number from a landline as I suspected it was a scam.
Somebody with a slight non American accent answered and identified himself as "Christian". I inquired about the transaction ID. He wanted to know exactly what the message said and what the amount was. I told him I received this as a text on my phone and he should be able to tell me the amount based on the transaction ID. I told him he could be anybody and I wasn't going to provide any more details. He thanked me for calling Apple Services and hung up.
Deleted and reported junk

This number is listed as scam number. They contacted me about an Apple transaction for $165. I don't have an Apple account so that tipped me off that it was fradulent.
