Pretending to be Apple Fraud
Text claiming to be APPLE and wanting you to call a wireless number in the US. The text is coming from the Phillipines.
I received a text message saying my Apple iCloud id was used at APPLE STORE-CA for $143.95 paid by Apple Pre Authorization.
I received a text message stating that my Apple Cloud ID was used at an Apple Store in California to purchase $143.95 paid by Apple Pay Pre Authorization. I was urged to talk to an Apple representative at this number to cancel the charge. I was also provided an address: https://support.apple.com/billing
Receiving unwanted or harrassing calls from (816) 258-4812? Report It! You can also add your number to the National DO Not Call Registry by visiting their website or calling (888) 382-1222, but many people have complained about it not being effective. If there is something requiring an immediate attention, please contact your local law enforcement agency or call 911.
