This is the number I was given to call in a BOGUS McAfee e-mail if I wanted to cancel the renewal of my account, which I don't have. I forwarded the e-mail to the FTC.

There was an e-mail sent to me stating that my McAffee Total protection for my computer had been renewed. The order number is 03983-J39 and the renewal cost placed on my credit card is $279.90. I tried to call that number but no one answered. I just now called that number and the man on the other side said that McAfee was in my computer and I was using it because the order number stated so. I questioned him about that, said I haven't used McAfee in awhile and I would call back later. That seemed to cause him distress. He said I needed to be on my personal computer ( I am at work right now), The order # indicated I was using M. and I needed to call him back right away once I was on my computer. Now I was starting to realize this seemed strange. I told him I would call back later (again, he was getting upset) and then I asked him how he knew the McAfee program was on my computer and I was using it when I wasn't even on my computer. He said the order # bla bla bla. I then said how do you know, do you have access to my computer? Is this the McAfee company? Is this even real? We were suddenly disconnected. I did a reverse look up and found this website.

This number is **sociated with an email I received that purports to be from McAfee, asking me to validate the $279 subscription fee it has charged to my account. An obvious scam, as I don't have McAfee and the email is designed to provide my credit card number with the one they claim they have on file.

They are sending out scam emails..McAfee renewal with the phone number on it. Fraud
