-Caller id: 808-424-3920 US Govt Hawaii.
-Saying: They are a company working for Hawaiian Tel to make appt date & time to upgrade all internet modems & lines to fiber optics for free. Then after verifying info they asked for credit card number to charge $2.95 for the upgrade that normally would have costed over $300.00. Did not give out card number (Alert possible scam!!) so I asked for his phone number & name to call him back, he asked for a moment then I heard a click & dial tone.
-Advice: Appears scammer phishing callerid. It looks legit however Always ask for their phone number & name to call back first. Do not give out any info. Check them out at Hawaiian tel first. Tricky if they call on weekends/holidays when Hawaiian tel local normal scam/fraud staff is not available. Best to wait when Hawaiian tel fraud/scam local staff is available. If legit you can always call the person back, if not legit Hawaiian tel will now be aware of the scam/fraud.
