This person had placed ad for giving away a used cellphone on offerup .com. i responded to ad with words they said to which was "congradulations on new baby boy". From there, person gave me a phone number (the one i gave here) and a email address to pay the $14.00 shipping allegedly from seaside Ca. And the following morning,aprox. 11:15 am the person text me and was frantic n said they misunderstood fedex's cost to ship and it is $35.oo so they want me to send another $20. , So i did, but they switched email acct to do so with...and then said they couldnt recieve it from there. I ask them to refect payment or return paymnt and said ide send it via another way and this person said they had yet another email address i must now send it to ... So i again requested my $20 back and made yet another $20 payment to another email person insisted on using now. Person said they would send me confirmation/proof of shipping in a few monents right after completeing cost. They hounded me non stop until i sent pymnt and stated that they were even standing at fed ex at very moment. I didnt hear from this person again even after i text them numerous times questioning if they will respond or what may have happened and got no response until i sent a text stateing that im contacting police here and fraud investigations in thier city/ area. The person quickly responded- about 5 or 10 minutes later and then apologized but then wouldnt show verification of shipping promised product of phone to me...went into speil about not able to reject or send back my pymnt...the one they said they couldnt recieve at all and proceeded to tell me i need to send him 30 dollars so he could send me 50 dollars because allegedly, they are unable to send less then a $50 pay to anyone. I refused and again asked for proof of shipping the item to me, and they sent me a picture of a plain,not addressed fedex box. Thats all .
