This sounds like the call I received earlier today (11-25-2022). I of course didn't remember back 14 months when I supposedly payed a $47 fee to have a website built that would generate income. The nice lady told me I had used an expired credit card to start all this, but they went ahead anyway and built the site. Why would they build my website on an expired credit card and not called me to let me know it had expired? Well low and behold without doing anything to my website I had generated $3226.24 in income she said "just imagine how much you would had made had you created a better site". Now in order to get the $3226.24 I need to pay for hosting for the website for the past 12 months that amounts to $358.80 according to the invoice. Now I'm slow so I had to reread. The invoice is for 12 months, she told me 14 months ago I started all this. So I get 2 months free? Then after further looking they have an incorrect street name and city. They did send me an email with all the information. I went to the website to see what they had built, I think one of the 4th graders that ride my bus could have done a better job at creating a website. My daughter called the 800 number and called them scammers. Who ever answered the phone was a little put out with what she had to say, maybe it was here fake Russian accent.
With all that said my best guest is this is a scam.
this company AWM LLC called me and said I had opened a online website which had 3200.00 dollars in the account. But to I had to pay a servicing fee of 358.80 for the 14 months this account has been generation revenue. this has to be a scam
yesterday I received a phone call from a woman (can't remember her name) from a company AWM (she said). She stated that about 14 mo's ago, I had signed up on-line to a company named Modern Marketing (to make money on-line). She said that every time someone looked at my so-called website, I made a commission. She said that I received information that explained my website and was charged $47.00. I asked her how the $47.00 was paid and she stated that she didn't have access to that information. I asked her what e-mail address was on file, again she stated that she did not access to that information She stated the reason for her call was to update my information like my g-mail e-mail address and informed me that I had $3,226.24 in commissions in my account. I told her that I did not recall any such transaction and that I did not have any g-mail address. She then proceeded to tell me that I may have forgotten about it, then sited that she herself does not remember what she had for lunch yesterday. The commission money intrigued me, you know just in case I had done something like this. She said that she would send me some information about my account. I did give her my e-mail address and told her that I would look into it. I looked up AWM and Modern Marketing, and found no information available, so I dismissed the phone call. I did not ask what her phone number was...
Today, 08/04/2022 I did receive an e-mail from AWM, here is a copy of it:
