Received a letter from AETNA
SPOOFED NUMBER SHOWS JENNY GOVERN
Spoofed Number...Shows Jenny Govern
Say they are social security but talking about a promotion
FRAUD! Robo call from 972-497-1400 left this 800 call back # saying they’re SSA, following up on a letter sent to me. SSA does NOT call ppl. I have rec’d legit SSA mail recently, a result from my business conducted w/SSA. Anyone in similar circumstances, or anyone who didn’t get a letter (because none was sent) and are unaware that SSA doesn’t call ppl could easily get caught up in this scam. Even worse, this scammer somehow registered both this 800 number and the above 972 number as belonging to the Social Security Administration. I’m going to see if this can be reported online to SSA.
No body ansers Yuma az ss office
SPlease share any experience you have had with this number: (800) 772-1213.
Claiming to be social security
This is supposed to be a SS number. I called the main SS number after receiving a call telling me SS was trying to reach me. The woman from SS told me they would never call and leave a message.
It is the Social Security Administration
I dont know who to call for SSI BENEFITS
An indian accent lady is trying to scam my wife and told her to buy $700 dollars of Nike gift card. When I ask her where is she calling from she said from Utah but her caller ID is Gwynn Oak Baltimore Maryland. This is her number 410 965 0160
Automated message said my Social Security Benefits would be stopped if I did not accept call. I do not draw SS benefits so I knew was a scam but I selected to answer. Rang busy until call finally dropped
I got a spam call from this number!
Said he was going to arrest me if I didn’t call this number because of suspicious activity on my social security number
They are totally scam. Don’t share any personal information
Caller ID says from Social Security Administration and has a recorded message to press some number for refund (as if) for computer services. They should all be prosecuted.
They ID themselves as SS. Accuse me of SS fraud. Threaten jail!!! Why are they allowed to do this?
Keep calling no response
Don’t want them to call.
Just got a voice mail saying there was fraud activity on my SS to press 1 to talk to a representative blah blah....SCAM. So sad that there are so many elderly people who fall for this...
They are pretending to be social security office and asking you for your personal information, stating that you have a warrant for your arrest. It’s a lie, don’t give them your info.
Person claimed to be from Social Security
Saying SS# has been suspended. This cannot happen and is fraud.
Same as other reports I viewed here.
i’m pretty sure this is a scam based on all these reports i’m reading. it called me a few weeks ago but they didn’t leave a voicemail.
Same as above comments. When I reverse look up number it says US social security office
"BEWARE" I have now received 3 call's! It's an illegal use of an Federal Agency phone number to obtain information from you. SCAM/FRAUD!!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION.
Constantly called and not answering
Lkkkoklmmmkoimmlolmnmkkkmnnkk
Claimed to be social security office
Same as all of the above.
Received call from this number twice In two hours. I ignored the call both times and checked your reports after the first call.
Recorded message states SSN is **sociated with criminal activity. Mash #1 connects to an “agent†who is ESL. Lots of background noise.
SCAM ALERT / SPOOFED NUMBER - Real Social Security Number is being spoofed. Indian accent guy tries to get your information. DO NOT GIVE OUT INFO! Hang up and call the Social Security Administration to ask if they have tried to contact you.
Row bow call definitely.
Robot call telling me my social security number and payments had been stolen and to call a number to fix it. Total scam.
Threatening in very rude
Fake call from automated voice saying my social security number was being used for illegal activity and to press 1. I didn’t and reverse looked up the number and saw other had reported this as a scam
An employee reported receiving a robocall from this number on her work cell. The scammers spoofed their callerid to match the Social Security Administration's toll phone number that is on their ssa.gov contact page.
According to the employee, the robocall (recording) stated something along the lines that they were going to disable your social security account (threat) on suspicion that it was being used by another person (fear). Press one to talk to representative (bait). All red flags of a robocall phishing scam.
We all should know that the Social Security Administration would NOT use recorded messages such as this to threaten people of disabling/suspending their social security account out of fear of it being used by other individuals. Beware of government impersonation scams such as these that use callerID spoofing programs/app to show up as "Social Security" on your phone's callerID. The SSA is aware of these impersonation scams and have issued the following tips page:
https://blog.ssa.gov/is-that-phone-call-from-us/
Also remember that Social Security will NEVER do any of the following:
Call you to demand an immediate payment; Demand that you pay a debt without the ability to appeal the amount you owe; Require a specific means of payment, such as requiring you to pay with a prepaid debit card; Ask you for your personal information or credit or debit card numbers over the phone; or Threaten you with arrest or deportation.
If you get a robocall such as these, DO NOT Provide them any personal/sensitive information if you do happen to "press one to talk to a representative". Better yet, phish them back and ask them for their name, contact information, address, etc. Ex. "I'm going into a meeting right now, can I get your name and direct phone number or email address so I can call you back and take care of this matter?" The majority of the time they will give you a completely different number then the 800-772-1213. Then use whatever information you can get from
I didn’t answer but called them back and they said my SS was suspended and they were going to cancel it. It was a recorded message and it said to call another number.
When I answered a recording said “goodbyâ€
The number that comes up 800-772-1213 is not the phone number they want you to call 828-919-8801
What kind of bs is this.how are these call allowed
Spam Spam Spam Spam Spam Spam
this number said that it was the Social Security administration and that all of my Social Security benefits would be blocked if I did not respond because she was suspicious activity
Didn’t answer even though caller ID said “Social Securityâ€. They left a message “We have got an order to suspend your social at very right moment because we have found many suspicious activities on you social. Before we go ahead and suspend your number kindly call us back on our number which is 54530-459-8222. Repeat it’s 530-459-8222. Thank you and goodbye.†What a bunch of baloney - of course did not call them on their call back number. Had to laugh at “suspicious activities on your socialâ€, they could not even correctly say Social Security!!
