I was trying to activate a Visa Express debit card from my bank. Called the number on the sticky attached to the card. Got a recording that I was a valued customer & was being rewarded with a Walmart gift card. The girl (heavy accent) said that she would transfer me to someone to activate my card after she had the info she needed. I gave her my address & the new card number. She asked what card did I want to use to pay the $4.95 processing & I told the Express Debit after it was activated. Was put on hold to wait for a "supervisor". I ended the call to do something. I again called the number on the sticky. This time I got the name of my bank & went straight to activating my card. Then I got a call from 800-560-6704. I answered & it was the girl I had talked to & she wanted to transfer me to get my card activated. Told her I had taken care of it. Got transferred - told the guy the same thing. He would not tell me who he worked for when asked. He just wanted info from me & I refused & told him we were done. I then called my bank & reported it.
Xfinity sent a gift card and to activate it, the number we called said we had to pay a fee with our debit card. When we refused, they called back from this number insisting that we pay the $4.95 from one of our cards. It has been reported to Xfinity
Called me and I answered with “Hello?†I heard a strange noise then they hung up. No idea of who it is.
