This is supposed to be a company called Legacy Consulting who telephones people regarding outstanding tax debt with recorded messages. It is probably a scam. They telephoned a CPA firm that handles tax resolution. When they were contacted to remove the number, the receiver speaks with an unbelievable foreign accent--probably Russian or one of the Baltic countries. Their mailing address was requested to send a formal complaint to have all of the business numbers removed from their call list. They use a different number each time they call and they normally call 4 or 5 times a day. The owner told me he has 10 or 12 locations and they don't give out their locations. He told me to block their numbers. Which I have been doing for the last 3 months. But, they simply use a different number. Be careful. Reputable companies never solicit you to help with your tax problems. They purchased a tax list from your state and the IRS using the Freedom of Information Act. Please don't be fooled.
