They called me first with a automated voicemail saying my social security number had been suspended for suspicious activity, and to press 1 for more information ab the cases so I go ahead and press one knowing it’s a scam and the guy goes to ask my date of birth and I give him a fake one and so somehow from that he knows my name and proceeds to ask for my social security number and so I tell him that it is actually illegal for any government- working person to to ask for your social security over the phone. Be aware and don’t give out your social security TO ANYONE over the phone.
