This person responded to an ad I placed on Craigslist. He/she wanted to buy the Rocker/Recliner from me but had no way to transport it and offered an additional $20 if I could deliver it. We came to an agreement on a Saturday evening and I wanted to clean it because it had been in storage, even though it wasn’t needed I thought it would be nice. I was told that I could deliver it at anytime. I informed him/her that I wouldn’t be available to deliver until Sunday afternoon or evening. Poor weather conditions slowed everything down with both cleaning and delivery. I did keep him/her informed on timing and offered to come another time/day if they preferred. We ended up making arrangements to deliver the next afternoon. I messaged him/her at 1:30 pm and confirmed that I was coming. They responded with they didn’t have any plans and would be there all day. I sent a text message to say that I was on my way around 2:20 pm and arrived at the address 3060 East Bridge St in Brighton CO, when I arrived it was a mobile home park and I didn’t have a unit number, I pulled over to text and find out exactly where I needed to go and they responded with “I forgot and have leftâ€.
No they didn’t forget not in the less than 15 minutes between my arrival and their text confirming that they knew that I was on my way and that “sounds good†response.
This person had no intentions of buying the item and rudely took several hours of my time for their twisted game. My time communicating with them, arranging for a vehicle to deliver it and my time cleaning the chair for their benefit. I suspect that they never left their home and they were most likely watching me upon arrival. They also knew that I only had enough time to drop off the chair before continuing to a doctors appointment and other errands out of town. As well as it had started snowing!
