They said they were from Microsoft and my computer had been hacked. They wanted to help me make it safe again. It turned out that they lost focus on my computer problems and wanted to give me a $299 refund for what I had paid for the AVG software on the computer. All I had to do was log into my bank and they would put the refund into my account. I wouldn’t log into my account so they hung up on me. It may not be a scam, but I don’t miss money I never had. I am not willing to take that chance.
