I was left a voicemail from ‘Charter Spectrum’ saying I was being removed from their 40% discount plan and to call this number to reactivate it. Sounded like the real company, except that the guy had a thick Indian accent. He told me that to reactivate, he could give me a special promo of $45 for three years. Catch was: Send $45 X 9 months up front! I called the real number I pay my bills at, and report service interruptions, and was told they’ve had a bunch of calls from different numbers all trying to scam their customers!
