Unsolicited text message identifing sender as “Debbie†from Gavin Newsom’s “Stop the Republican Recall…†effort. I have no way to verify that. Could be a spoof. Text is asking the recipient (myself, others) to reply “Yes†to indicate a willingness to vote “No†on “Question 1†on the Newsom krecall ballot. The apparent purpose was a survey to gather indications on voting trends. I am not responding, however, since the real sender does not identify themself, they have paired my name matched with my cell phone number without my permission, and there is no way I can submit feedback, including a “stop sending messages†response. It also may violate voting laws, since it askem me to tell how I will vote before my vote is counted. Thanks.
