Scam trying to commit iden**ty theft by obtaining your SSN
A robo-call, pretending to be from the Social Security office, saying that they're starting criminal proceedings against me and that if I want to head them off, I need to call back at this number. Presumably they will then ask for my name and SSN to verify my iden**ty, at which point they will have my SSN, name, phone number and possibly address to commit iden**ty theft or other fraud. I'm filing a notice at the Soc. Sec. fraud site, oig.ssn.gov/report.

They left me a voice message about how they will commence legal proceedings if I do not call back immediately. A quick search reveals this is a phishing and scam scheme.
recording about need to pay or legal proceedings
Asking for social security info. Stating back pay was owed and needed to call back at this number. Total scam. Do not call. Preying on the innocent
Scam about filing against you unless you contact them.
