I received a call from this cell phone number (561-436-2519) claiming to be from Amazon’s Fraud Department. The caller said an Apple Computer had been purchased from my Amazon Account and if I didn’t order it he could help me with canceling the order

I knew this was a scam and tried to engage the caller. I offered to give him my Bank Account information and social security number, at which point I **sume he realized I was not serious and he hung up on me.

I immediately called the number back and the call went into a personal automated voice mail. AT NO TIME DID THE VOICEMAIL MENTION AMAZON OR THE AMAZON FRAUD DEPARTMENT.

I would imagine the Amazon Fraud Department answers calls, at the very least during normal business hours, which this was.

I would also imagine if Amazon’s Fraud Department was unable to answer my call their voicemail system would be set up to identify it as the Amazon Fraud Department.

Tis the season for scammers! Beware!!
