The owner of this number claimed to be “Nick Bates†on a dating app and used a fake online profile to set a date with me. Then, on the exact minute we were supposed to meet, he canceled via text as his online persona, then SHOWED UP in person as himself and asked me out pretending to be a stranger. Basically, he knew that I would be emotionally vulnerable because “he†had stood me up and then approached me. I caught on though and I was terrified. His elaborate catfish scheme seemed practiced and he has done this before to other girls. He is a predator.
