On Friday, April 27th my mother received a call from this number. The woman said her name was Julia Harrison and she apparently was claiming to be my brother’s attorney. Apparently, my brother had been in a car accident in Tampa, Fl and had hit a woman who was 6 months pregnant. She said my brother was in Fl to attend a friend’s funeral. He had a broken nose and was a little scraped and the woman he supposedly hit was taken to the hospital as a precaution. She told my mother that my “ brother “ had had a drink but was under the legal limit. I don’t know if she actually said my “brother “had been arrested but the woman asked my mother if she had 6000.00, when my mother said no, the lady asked if she could send less. My mother said she is 85 and living on social security and that she needed to talk to me. At some point my mother spoke to my “brotherâ€. He was hard to understand so she asked who it was. He did say my brother’s name. My “brother†said he had one call, he was worried about the woman and kept telling my mom how much he loved her and to please not tell anyone. My mother being very upset called me and gave me this woman’s phone number. I tried to called and no one answered. Since it is was Fri and around 1:30 Nv time and 4:30 in Fl I decided to try to call the number again. The woman said “hello†and when I asked if this was an attorneys office she said “yesâ€. After I told her who I was and who I was calling about she hung up on me. I spend Sat morning calling all the jails in the Tampa area. I have much thanks to the sheriff that helped me with names of the jails. I looked up the phone number for the “attorney “ and it says it’s a landline in Lynchburg Va. I questioned that immediately. I did try to call my brother’s cell the other day with no answer. This morning my husband told me to try his cell again today and guess what.... he answered!
