Its keeps calling, goes to voicemail and spammers leave no message. My number is a new number, less than a week. They recycle them to quickly

Its keeps calling me and leaves no message.

Every few months I start getting calls from this # at random intervals. Some times I receive calls at night, sometimes in the early morning...it's always in a time frame that isn't exactly the norm for any telemarketer, as in before 8:00am or after 9:00pm.

I answered once, because the phone # has my local state area code & the phone # is listed as being based in a city that is only an hour or so away from me, I figured it was a friend or something along those lines, some type of connection.

It wasn't. Like the comment before mine, I answered & the first thing they said was, "good morning, due to Alabama state law, I am required to inform you that this conversation is being recording, which we do for our personal records so we can review calls & ensure the best possible customer service is given during each customer interaction. I asked what company they were with & what exactly was the call concerning & they said, "please confirm that you understand the prior statement", to which I said, "yes, of course I do, but who are YOU?" Then the Rep said, "thank you, if I could ask you to hold one moment..." and that's when I said, LOUDLY, "NO, I WILL NOT HOLD". That garnered her attention & she paused. That's when I said, "I don't know who you are or what this is about, so unless you are with an attorney &/or it is required for me to take this call, I am hanging up." Another pause...then I asked, "am I required by law to take this call or hold for whatever information you wish me to hold the line for?" Another pause...and a much less certain sounding response, "no". So I said, so what you're saying is that it is not compulsory for me to hold the line, answer your questions or even answer the phone when I see your # come up on my caller ID? Longer pause, then another "no".

I asked, "could you explain the nature of this call?" She responded, (more confidently this time, thinking she had drawn me back in) "no, you'll have to hold the line & I

Someone using this number called me and stated they were taping this conversation. I asked who they hell they were and they stated would you repeat your response and I hung up.
