The caller, with heavy accent (likely India or other southwest Asian country), said she was with CVS pharmacy. When I asked which store she was with, she said she was with CVS administration. Throughout the call, I heard the clatter of voices and objects moving, as if the caller was in a huge hangar or warehouse. I told her she was a fraudster, and hung up. Am sure that the local number that appeared on my caller ID, along with the words Royal Oak Michigan, were spoofed to give the false impression that the local originated locally. I blocked the number, but it\'s really futile, because whoever initiated this call will simply spoof another number in the future. Is there really nothing our Gov\'t can do to stop or at least mitigate the frequency of these calls? We get them many times very week.
