Scammers wanting uber codes
Running Uber scam
Sends Uber text codes. They are spam
Update: I went to the Uber website through a browser instead of my phone app, and on my homepage I found a request to update my phone number. When I confirmed, it sent me another text with a prompt to enter a four-digit code, and my number was updated. It occurred to me that the last time I used Uber I needed to update my number, which had recently changed. I promptly forgot about it. They were probably just updating their database, but this would have been useful to know before I had to go looking for answers.
I received a text with a four-digit code with an embedded link, purporting to be from Uber. I’m in the midst of a nearly two-year relentless cyberattack so I check out any phone number that rings me that I can’t identify immediately, and I don’t click on text links unless I’ve requested them.
I received a text message from this number claiming to provide an Uber code. I do not use Uber. I am concerned someone is trying to leverage my cell number inappropriately.
I received a text message from this number puporting to be Uber and sending me a code. I do not use Uber any longer, I cancelled my account 2 years ago but I am concerned someone is trying to set up an account with my information. Without opening up a new account with Uber I cannot verify if this actually came from them.
Sends fake uber code texts.
Got notification for code verification and this was the number asking for it.
